Detox/Cleanse- Day 2

Hello, hello!

As I promised, my detox follow up.  Two days down and four more to go.  Today I woke up extremely exhausted.  It could have been from not enough sleep, but I would rather blame it on the detox. =)  For breakfast I drank eight ounces of my day two detox juice: apple, cucumber and lemon.  I was most excited about my mid morning snack:  raspberry chia seed pudding.  YUMMY!

Raspberry chia seed pudding recipe:

Ingredients: 1 cup almond milk (see my almond milk recipe from my blog), 1 cup fresh raspberries, 2 tablespoons raw chia seeds, 1 teaspoon good vanilla extract, 1/2 tablespoon raw honey, pinch sea salt, 1/4 cup slivered cashews or almonds.

Place raspberries in a bowl.  Sprinkle chia seeds and honey on top.  Add almond milk.  For a thicker pudding, let refrigerate overnight.

Day 2 Juice

Lunch was wonderful!  I enjoyed a birthday lunch with two of my very close friends.  They were great to take me to Jason’s Deli so I could get a beautiful salad from their salad bar.  I had mixed greens with peppers, tomatoes, onions, beets,  broccoli and mixed nuts. Can I just say it was alive and fabulous!!  I was starving by around 4:00 in the afternoon.  I was very excited to be able to finish the last eight ounces of my delicious juice for my mid afternoon snack.  I have to add that today’s juice was much better than yesterday’s green juice.  The green was good, but really green!! For dinner I made us a spinach salad with lots of veggies and grapes with my left over avocado dressing I blogged about yesterday.  I also incorporated about eight ounces of a pear smoothie with a little bit of pea protein added to it.  It was very good!  It consisted of my raw almond milk, pears, raw honey and love and peas protein powder. So overall today has been good.  The only detox side affect I had was feeling a little fatigued. With that being said, I  am off to bed….  Lots of juice to make in the morning.  Thanks for reading my blog!! =)  Good night dear friends!
